| 摘 要： | 文化差异根本在思维方式;作为东西方文化的载体与思维工具,汉语和英语各有独特的魅力与优势,体现出东西方完全不同的思维特点:前者从整体出发,后者以个体为重。以此为依据,高职英语教学应在学生英语学习思维习惯方面加强培养,帮助他们扎实打好语言基础,逐渐形成用英语进行思维的能力,最终达到有效提高实际应用英语水平的目的。

| Abstract: | The root of cultural differences lies in different thinking patterns .A simple comparison be-tween the Chinese and English languages finds oriental and western cultures entirely different from each other in thinking ways ：the former gives a prior consideration to the whole while the latter to the individu-al .It is accordingly suggested that vocational college English teaching should focus on training of Chinese students＆#39;thinking in the acquisition of English so that a good thinking habit can be developed for their im-provement of communicative skills in English . |
