| Abstract: | Cynthia Ozick is a distinguished Jewish writer who is well known for her novels and stories with the themes of Jewish traditional culture and history. With unusual imagination and narrative virtuosity she deals with the historical tragedy and unspeakable horror of the suffering inflicted on Jews by Nazism and shows her deep ethnic concern for Jews. This paper is an attempt to explore the narrative strategy and stylistic features in The Shawl from perspectives of narrative point of view, narrative from and straits of language. |
