| Abstract: | As an important part of English idioms, English idiomatic pairs of words are large in number ,rich in meaning and wide in use. Much discussion has been held on idiomatic pairs of words,yet little discussion has been held on their variations. This paper discusses the structural,semantic,phonetic,grammatical and stylistic features of variations of these pairs of words. |
