| 摘 要： | 自然界存在着各种颜色,与人们日常生活密切相关。中英文的颜色词在概念意义上大体一致,即代表各自所指的颜色。但同一种颜色在这两种语言中却各自有着不同的文化内涵。文章通过对颜色词产生和发展主要因素的研究,对这些颜色词在不同中西文化背景下的语义及其引申意义的差异性进行了探讨,并以实例进行具体分析。

| Abstract: | Nature is decorated with many different colors and man's daily life is also closely linked with colors. The conceptual meanings conveyed by the terms of color in English and Chinese are roughly the same: terms of color in English and their equivalents in Chinese refer to roughly the same colors. But the same terms of color in these two languages may have different cultural associations. This article attempts to discuss the cultural connotations of color words in the communication between English and Chinese, and illustrate them with examples. |
