| 摘 要： | 通过对托马斯.哈代的《还乡》和索福克勒斯的《俄狄浦斯王》的比较研究,从原型研究的视角,并以主人公的命运悲剧为线索探索两部作品中所体现的命运观,从而论证索福克勒斯在《俄狄浦斯王》所揭示的悲剧命运观——性格决定命运——正是《还乡》中的命运观的原型。

| Abstract: | In the article,a comparative research between the Return to the Native and Oedipus the King is made from the perspective of archetype to explore the fatalism of the two tragedies.Both the two tragedies display the tragic fate of heroes and heroines,so it is concluded that the fatalism revealed in Oedipus the King by Sophocles-character determines fate-is the archetype of the fatalism revealed in the Return to the Native by Hardy. |
