| Abstract: | The author defines the creation and development of North's institutional change theory before the publishing of Structure and Change in Economic History as the beginning period.Then,he introduces and discusses the development of his theory in this period according to the following logic order: the first part is the definition of institution,the second the change of it,and the last is the application of his theory.Base on the above,a general review is made. |
