| 摘 要： | 《围城》中包含大量中国文化特色的词汇——文化负载词,在英语中很难找到相匹配的词汇来表达。该文借助语义翻译及交际翻译理论,通过对Jeanne Kelly和Nathan K.Mao(茅国权)英译本《围城》进行研究,浅析其翻译方法及技巧。发现:语义翻译,语义翻译加脚注,交际翻译,交际翻译加解释等方法可以很好的传达中文本《围城》的思想及内涵,同时目标语读者易于理解。

| Abstract: | It is not an easy job for those who have managed to translate Wei Chen written by Ch’ien Chung.Reasons are obvious that this novel is dotted with cultural-loaded words full of unique Chinese features.By virtue of semantic translation and communicative transla tion,this paper makes an attempt to study the English version Fortress Besieged with the intention to find out its translation approaches adopt ed,which are composed of communicative translation,communicative translation plus footnotes,semantic translation as well as semantic translation plus explanation. |
