| 摘 要： | 与卡片目录、书本目录比较、机读目录较好地实现了目录体系的各项功能，从而引发了一场目录革命，产生了深远的影响，但现代化信息技术的发展，又使MARC格式成为制约机目录发展的因素，要制订新的MARC格式，以推动机读目录的发展。
