| Abstract: | Idioms are unique and fixed expressions formed in the use of a language course. It usually has marked culture color. This paper analyses the cultural differences of English and Chinese idioms through the apparently dissimilar due to living conditions, customs, historical backgrounds, mode of thinking and religious belief. Only when we have a good grasp of different cultural origins of both nations can we understand the idioms in a proper way. |
