| Abstract: | Distinctively diversified Languages are used in Southeast Asian countries.These countries usually use their mother tongues in education.But in recent years,policies have been made to support rural communities to use the local language to promote the development of elementary education.This is organized by either government or non-governmental organizations and conducted through preschool education,primary and middle school classroom oral language,transitional bilingual education and auxiliary training of reading and writing,especially through opening special courses and other measures.The experience of this region shows that it is necessary and feasible to use the local language to develop rural elementary education,but still,support from all forces is needed and related studies should be made. |
