| 摘 要： | 以Halliday的语调三重系统理论为基础,借助语篇语调语料分析,从语调组的内部结构、边界指征和语调群组合三个方面,对英语语调组在小句层次和语篇层次上的语篇功能进行了系统研究。英语语调群具有语篇信息传递功能、语篇言语流切分功能和对语篇中重要功能成分突出和强调的功能。它对英语口语语篇调群切分研究,语篇语调分析实践和英语朗读、听力教学都具有参考价值。

| Abstract: | Based on Halliday＇ s intonation triple systems, the paper makes a comprehensive study of the textual functions of English intonation group on both its clause level and its text level. By analyzing the internal structure, the boundary indications of intonation group and the functions of intonation group sequence in oral texts, several textual functions of intonation group are identified ： speech stream segmentation, text information transfer and high- lighting and emphasizing the important textually functional components in a text. This research results may have some inspiration to English intonation -group segmentation research, the text intonation analysis practice and Eng- lish reading and listening teaching. |
