| 摘 要： | 林语堂的<京华烟云>之所以获得巨大成功,就是因为他运用现代英语展示了源远流长的中国传统文化:这部巨著以现代英语为载体,以恢宏的气势描绘了一幅中国社会历史风俗长卷;塑造了一系列栩栩如生的人物形象,特别是女性形象浸透了中国传统巾帼的神情风韵;一个"道"字更是力透纸背,穿越历史的时空隧道成为牵引众多事件和人物的主线.

| Abstract: | The great success of Moment in Peking by Lin Yutang is attributed to his using modern English to reveal long standing Chinese traditional culture. Using modern English as a carrier, this great book extensively describes historical custom of Chinese society, portrays a numbers of vivid figures and especially portrays female figures as Chinese traditional charming heroines. It expounds the "morality", which is the thread to connect numerous events and figures at different time and in different places. |
