摘    要:我国高等教育的现代化进程是一个不断对外学习的过程,建国初期的“以俄为师”是中国高等教育走向现代化的一个重要环节,它既对我国的高等教育产生了积极的促进作用,同时也带来了很大的负面影响。高教领域的“全面学苏”其实是必然性与偶然性机缘凑合的产物:就当时的国际国内形势来说,“以俄为师”是惟一的选择(必然性);但就当事者的主观选择而言,“全盘苏化”只是一种代价昂贵的学习方式(偶然性)。

Abstract:China's modernization of higher education is a continual process of absorbing foreign ideas. "Adopting the Russian ideas" in the 1950s has been an important step in China's drive for the modernization of higher education, bringing about both positive and negative influences. As a matter of fact, China's all round following suit of the Soviet Model in higher education has been an outcome of both necessity and contingency. With consideration of the domestic and international situation of the time, it has been the only alternative; with consideration of the subjective selection of the alternative, it has been a costly method.
