| Abstract: | Although it is common to deal with multidimensional objectives, namely objectives that are measured by two or more indicators, little attention is devoted to identifying and selecting the methods to apply for interpreting the results that will be achieved, or, rather, to verify whether the rules that are going to be adopted are the most appropriate. The aim of this article is to offer insight into methods and rules to aggregate measures and interpret results, investigate the unintended consequences of applying inappropriate criteria, propose a methodology to compare different methods, and test their robustness before they are applied. |
