| Abstract: | Without understanding the culture of a target language,communication would be less successful.This thesis discusses the term of culture with several shades of meaning and presents the view that popular culture is the most influential factor in communication. Accordingly,the writer holds the view that in college English teaching a great importance should be attached to teaching knowledge about popular culture. |
