| 摘 要： | 超额和欠额翻译作为两个错误的翻译典型经常困扰着翻译工作者,研究这两个现象具有深远的意义。本文从东西方地理位置和文化差异的角度研究了翻译中超额与欠额现象产生的原因。其中地理位置的不同造成了一定的词汇空缺,使英汉之间没有对等词汇,从而形成超额与欠额现象。在文化方面,本文着重讲述了东西方价值道德、信仰的差异所造成的超额与欠额现象,试图从这些方面提出了一些能够避免这两种错误翻译现象的翻译策略和翻译技巧。

| Abstract: | Translators are often disturbed by the two inaccurate translational types,overtranslation and undertranslation.Therefore,it is significant to do some research on the two types.At a different angle of the geographical position and culture,this paper investigates the causes of the two phenomena.The different geographical position contributes to certain lexical gap,which makes no equivalent words between English and Chinese.Furthermore,the paper emphasizes the different value and morality and belief in the east and the west.In a word,all these aspects result in the phenomena of overtranslation and undertranslation.The paper tries to come up with some translational strategies and skills to avoid the inappropriate translation. |
