Institution: | Senior Research Associate at The Huron Institute and Lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. From 1977 to 1982 he served as Staff Director of The Huron Institute's National Consortium on Testing project. Mr. Haney has conducted research on alternative models of elementary education, children's reasoning concerning standardized tests, the history of educational testing in the United States, and the concept of educational equality. Current research interests include egocentrism in children's reasoning, educational evaluation and social policy, and educational technology. Mr. Haney has published articles on standardized testing, basic skills assessment, competency testing and equal opportunity, and testing and social policy. |
