| 摘 要： | 关联理论认为翻译是一种言语交际行为,翻译过程包括原文作者与译者之间的交际和译者与译文读者之间的交际这两个过程。因此,译者要帮助译文读者找到最佳关联,达到最佳交际效果。上海世博取得了巨大成功,其主题＂城市,让生活更美好＂及其英译＂Better City,Better Life＂也广受好评。本文旨在运用关联翻译理论从语义关联、联想关联和文化关联三个层面分析上海世博主题的翻译,加深对该主题及其翻译的认识与了解。

| Abstract: | Relevance theory maintains that translation is a verbal communication act,which happens between the author and the translator,and between the translator and the target addressee as well.Thus,the translator is to help the target addressee find the optimal relevance to achieve optimal communicative effect.World Expo 2010 Shanghai enjoys great success,of which the theme and the translation of the theme are widely praised.According to relevance-theoretic translation theory,this paper attempts to give a brief analysis of the translation of World Expo 2010 Shanghai＇s theme from the perspective of semantic relevance,associative relevance and cultural relevance. |
