| 摘 要： | 运用英汉对比方法,从英汉物质、制度和心理文化层面,探讨文化对英汉隐喻词的影响。英汉隐喻词的选择因文化重合而相同,因文化冲突而相异。揭示了文化与语言的关系:语言反映文化,文化影响语言。理解语言必须了解文化,了解文化有助于理解语言。

| Abstract: | This paper studies the cultural differences between the English and Chinese metaphors from the perspective of the material, institutional and psychological culture. English and Chinese people tend to use the same metaphors when the two cultures overlap but they choose different metaphors when their cultures conflict, It reveals a close relationship between the culture and the language. Language reflects culture and is influenced by culture. Therefore theunderstanding of the language depends on the knowledge of the culture,which is essential to the understanding of the language. |
