| Abstract: | With McCarthy＇s semantic field as the theoretical basis, and adopting Sinclair＇s corpus-based approach, the vocabulary characteristics of English for the coverage of earthquakes are de- scribed from key words graphs, lexical chunks and the semantic preference of lexical chunks, hoping to provide references for the teaching and research of news English. |
