| Abstract: | The charitable cause in Fuzhou was well developed in Qing dynasty,which included such charity organizations as baby-breeding,chastity protecting,almsgiving,and funeral servicing,etc.The organizations were large in number and scale,and had cooperation with the authority.It was the great financial power,heavy cultural implications and strict system for managing the charitable organizations that enabled Fuzhou to become the capital of charity. |
