| Abstract: | This paper analyzes the seven fundamental characteristics of Stanford University,which are preferrence to practicality,respection to faculty,freedom of teaching and learning,distinguishing students,sustainable creation,paying equal attention to teaching and research,pursuing eminence,and points out that these characteristics are fundamental assurance to the success of undergraduate education of Stanford University,so as to give some enlightenment to the Chinese research universities. |
