| Abstract: | The Hairy Ape is one of the most important expressionistic plays written by Eugene O＇Neil with profound social meaning. In it, through exploring the two different classes, the playwright has disclosed the theme of alienation and dehumanization of modem people and exposed the miserable situation of the working class. The paper tries to further explore the theme of the play like alienation and dehumanizaion using Marx＇s alienation theory. |
