| Abstract: | Following the 21st century of information era, network news has become the main access to outside world for most people. As "eyes" of a piece of news, network news headline is the primary means to attract readers’ attention. This paper applies the Relevance Theory to the creativity of English network news headline from the cognitive point of view to explain its communicative significance. |
