| 摘 要： | 委婉语既是人类社会普遍存在的一．种语言现象，也是一种文化现象。它的使用具有重要的社会功能。反映一个社会、一个民族的历史、宗教和文化等。本文在分析委婉语的社会功能的同时，又从语言与文化关系的角度透视了不同民族委婉语背后所反映的文化差异。

| Abstract: | Euphemism is a kind of lingual phenomenon as well as a kind of cultural phenomenon. It is of important social function and can reflect the history, the religion and the culture of a society or a nation. This article analyzes the social function of euphemism and the cultural differences of different national euphemism in the terms of the relation between language and culture. |
