| 摘 要： | 模糊限制语是模糊语言学的重要组成部分。本文从定性分析和定量分析角度，以模糊限制语为例，对新闻英语中的模糊现象进行分析。定量分析表明，以精确著称的新闻英语中有相当比例的模糊现象，且在软新闻与新闻中无显著差异；定性角度分析表明，新闻英语大量的模糊语有其理论依据。

| Abstract: | Taking both quantitative and qualitative approaches, this paper uses hedges as an example to analyze fuzziness in journalistic English. The quantitative analysis shows that fuzziness takes up quite a percentage in journalistic English with no significant difference between hard news and soft news. A further analysis from quanlitative approaches conlcudes that fuzziness is theoretically indispensable in journalistic writing. |
