| Abstract: | Based on the analysis of weak points of students' oral English in higher professional colleges, the paper suggests some approaches to developing students' oral ability in English teaching. It discusses characteristics of oral practice, functions of teachers and three key points of developing students' English oral ability. It advocates changing traditional education concept to help students improve communicative capability. |
