| 摘 要： | 因声求义是一项重要的训诂方法。前人和时贤在一些训诂学著作中都有相关的论述，但都局限于具体实践，没有从历史的角度去阐述其流变。这一方法经历了从声训到右文说再到因声求义这样一个发展演进的过程。因声求义在清代走向成熟，清代学者利用它在训诂上取得了巨大的成就，为后世树立了典范。它存在的依据是由于汉语中存在通假字、同源词、联绵词和音转等语言现象。因此，因声求义的具体实践也就体现在破通假、系联同源词、释联绵词和考证方言四个方面。
