| Abstract: | The novel Outsider by Albert Camus and the novel Fortress Besieged by Qian Zhong-Shu are both the works of existentialism reflecting the absurdness of the world and human beings＇ lonely and helpless feelings towards the world. However, owing to the two writers＇ different cultural backgrounds, different perspectives and styles, the two novels differ in the narrative structure and spiritual trend. |
