| Abstract: | There goes the old saying it is easy to explain the notional words but difficult the functional words". True it is. Ancient Chinese, compiled by Wangli, is acknowledged as an excellent textbook. However, the explanation for functional words is still open. In this paper, the author cites some examples of functional words which are not explained or misexplained, hoping to make good omissions and deficiencies in revising the textbook and teaching ancient Chinese. |
