| 摘 要： | 英国英语和美国英语是英语的两种语言变体即两种区域方言。尽管这两种语言变体在语言核心上是一致的，但是英国英语和美国英语在发展中都受到各自的化．历史、自然特征以及。理等诸多方面因素的影响，这必然使英国英语和美国英语这两种语言变体在各个方面存在着差异。在这些差异中词汇差异尤为明显，并突出地表现在拼写差异、词义差异以及语用差异等方面。

| Abstract: | British English and American English are the two different main varieties of English or regional dialects of English. On the core of English language, the two different varieties of English are the same, but there are various differences between the two owing to the development of the two varieties under the influences of different cultures, histories, natural traits and psychological elements and so on. Among these differences, the differences between British English and American English in vocabulary can be easily found. And differences in spelling, differences in meaning, semantic differences account for the differences between the two varieties of English. |
