| Abstract: | This paper, using discourse analysis method, explores the main factors that affect the process of negotiation for meaning in T- and - S interaction in an American teacher＇s English speaking class. The main factors are listed as follows： unequal T-and-S relationships, unequal T-and-S linguistic proficiency, cultural differences between the American teacher and Chinese students and students＇ low motivation. |
