| 摘 要： | 国内许多研究者对高校学生的英语自主学习能力进行了大量调查和研究，但这些研究都限于重点高校和老牌本科院校．通过立足于中部地区，侧重调查新升本院校学生英语自主学习能力．首先根据实际情况对中部地区的新升本院校进行界定．然后通过问卷对4所高校的376名非英语专业学生英语自主学习情况进行了调查．结果表明，中部地区新升本院校非英语专业学生的自主学习能力较低．结合现状，各高校制定相应策略，改革大学英语教学模式，培养和提高中部地区新专升本院校学生自主学习能力．

| Abstract: | Many researches have made some research on learner＇s autonomy of English learning in our country＇s universities. However, these researches are confined in top and long-established universities in the east of China. The article focuses on learners＇ autonomy in newly up-graded universities in central China. Definition of the newly up-graded universities is the first part of the article and questionnaires are investigated among 376 students. The result indicates that learns＇ autonomy in these universities are quite low. |
