| 摘 要： | 以鬼魂信仰、神灵崇拜为代表的温州民间信仰是清末民初西方传教士重点批判的对象。通过分析西方传教士关于温州的英文著述，探讨温州民间信仰及其与基督教之间的冲突。西方传教士注重言说基督教的尽善尽美，却言辞激烈地贬低儒道释和民间信仰；更在言说评判温州的种种民间信仰中宣扬基督教，提升自我形象。

| Abstract: | Wenzhou folk beliefs represented by the ghost and gods worship are the key parts criticized by western missionaries in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. Making analysis on English works written by western missionaries over Wenzhou, this paper mainly discusses the conflict between Wenzhou folk beliefs and Christianity. Western missionaries focused on the perfection of Christianity and wrote down Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and other folk beliefs with fierce words. In addition, they criticized Wenzhou folk beliefs while advocating Christianity to upgrade their image. |
