| Abstract: | Baoyu and Werther are two typical characters of tragic romances, and their love stories reflect the decay and cruelty of the feudal systems of two different countires in the 18th century. In their pursuit of true love, they knew who they were and tried best to be themselves, but finally led to their self-destruction. Their tragic romances were unavoidable and would never come to their fulfillment. |
