| 摘 要： | 在语言交际中，不同的人可能使用不同的语调，反映出他们不同的思想、态度和情感。语调可表达一定的信息，增加语言的感染力。语调的变化并不影响也不改变词汇本身的意义，但语调错误会造成误解，影响语言交际。因此掌握正确的语调、了解语调的功能对于有效交际极其重要。英语语调主要具有以下四种功能：表态功能、话语功能、语法功能和强调功能。

| Abstract: | In the process of English communication, different speakers may employ different intonation to express their thoughts, attitudes and feelings, etc. Intonation not only conveys messages, but also strengthens the influence of the discourse. So it is of great importance to master the functions of intonation. The following are often cited as important functions of English intonation: attitudinal function, discourse function, grammatical function and accentual function. |
