| 摘 要： | 本从小说语言学的角度，对维多利亚时代作家的土话表现手法作了分析。这些作家以极大的勇气去表现为舆论所鄙夷的土话。大胆超越当时社会语言学的规定，生动地展现小说多彩的人物谱和多层次的社会风貌，以此属于他们自己的小说叙述艺术。

| Abstract: | This essay studies three influential Victorian writers with the purpose to study the ways of their representation of dialects. These writers, by representing dialects in their novels, bravely violated the boundaries between dialects and standard English as socio linguists prescribed. They tried to attain flexibility in fictional narratives, by which they display a great variety of characters, a multi layered society, and a narrative art of their own. |
