| 摘 要： | 人类最早的委婉语是对神祗的婉称。作为语言的一个组成部分，英汉委婉语经历了时代的变迁、文化的洗涤。到20世纪的今天，英汉委婉语层出不穷，涉及到政治、经济、军事、文化、教育等社会生活的各个方面。英汉委婉语产生和变化不但体现了英汉民族各自历史文化的发展轨迹，蕴含了英汉民族不同的文化心理和价值观念，还表现了一种发展趋势--英语职业委婉语在原有的基础上更新、发展，而汉语职业委婉语和性爱委婉语则随着英、美文化的涉入而产生，并在英美文化对汉民族传统文化的冲击与反冲击的斗争中逐步丰富、发展。

| Abstract: | The earliest euphemisms are the euphemistic names of gods. As a component of language, the English and Chinese euphemisms have undergone the changes of times and culture. Today in the twentieth century, new euphemisms appear one after another, involving politics ,economy, military affairs, culture and education, etc. The English and Chinese euphemisms not only show the traces of their respective development of historical culture of the two nations and contain their different cultural psychology and values, but also signal a tendency-English occupational euphemisms develop on the basis of the old, while Chinese occupational and sexual euphemisms come up with the arrival of the English and American cultures, and gradually, increase in the struggle between the impact on the Chinese traditional culture by English and American cultures and the counter - impact. |
