语篇人际元功能的实现形式——以《新视野大学英语:读写教程》第二册语篇分析为例

摘    要:系统功能语言学和评价理论对人际元功能进行了逐步深入的全面研究。通过对选自于《新视野大学英语:读写教程》第二册(第二版)的不同体裁的四个语篇在语气、情态、评价词汇层面人际元功能的实现手段的讨论分析,认为在语篇层面上,对比作为一种修辞手段,和明喻、暗喻一样也是实现语篇人际意义的重要资源。最后指出,语篇教学中应引导学习者对不同人际意义资源加以学习和重视,提升学习者对语言和文化知识学习的情感投入,从而加强学习者对语篇的整体意义的理解。

Abstract:This essay firstly introduces the studies in interpersonal meta-function in Functional Grammar and Appraisal Theory. Then, on this basis, the essay discusses and analyzes the various realizations of interpersonal meaning of four discourses selected from the textbook New Horizon College English (Book 2, 2nd Edition) belonging to different genres and argues that such language resources as direct quotations, idioms and contrast also contribute to the realization of the interpersonal meaning. Finally, it is suggested that teachers call students' attention to the interpersonal resources and strengthen their emotional involvement in language learning, aiming to help them understand the whole meaning of the discourse.
