| Abstract: | In senior English teaching, we should put emphasis on developing students' ability of reading based upon the consolidation of their basic knowledge and developing their other skills. This article deals with the ways of enhancing students' ability of reading with the theories of schemata and puts forward these ideas: linguistic schemata -key to understanding; enriching content schemata; perfect formal schemata ; giving guidance to students in reading practice. |
