| Abstract: | This paper reported a preparation methods for m-phthaloyl chloride in which thionyl chloride is used as agent for chlorination by the substitution reaction with m-phthalic acid to give the title compound. The favorable technical conditions for preparing m-phthaloyl chloride was obtained by selection and combination of various reaction conditions. |
