| 摘 要： | 美国一直很重视对移民的同化，公民教育是移民同化采用的非常重要的手段。为此，20世纪中期美国采取了一系列相应的措施，其实践探索值得研究。美国成人移民公民教育的基本理念是帮助非美国公民身份的成人移民通过入籍考试，加入美国国籍，并培养他们对美国文化和价值观的认同感，使之与整个社会结合成一个团结而统一的整体。为实现这一目标，公立学校、移民归化局和其他一些机构相互配合，共同努力，取得了显著的成效。

| Abstract: | They always pay much attention to assimilation of immigrants in the United States, the very important as- similation way is citizenship education. They took a series of measures of citizenship education for adult immigrants in Mid -20th Century in America, which is worth researching for us. The fundamental concept of citizenship education for adult immigrants was to help non- Americans of adult immigrants pass American Citizenship Test and be Americans, and train them to identify American culture and outlook of American value, then make them and the society as a unite and unified whole. To fulfill the objective, the public schools, U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service and other organizations cooperated and worked hard together. At last, their work was very effective. |
