商标翻译的顺应论阐释

摘    要:语言顺应论认为,人们使用语言的过程是一个根据交际环境和交际对象的变化而不断作出语言选择的过程。语言顺应论对翻译有如下启示:任何一种翻译策略或手段,只要能够达到预期的翻译目的,都有其可取之处。因此,商标翻译中,译者可以采取各种变通手段使译文顺应商品的特点、目的语语言系统、目的语文化、目的语消费者心理等要求,以达到预期的翻译效果。

Abstract:Theory of Linguistic Adaptation maintains that language use is a process in which language users make continual linguistic choices in light of communicative context and communicative partner.This theory can cast enlightenment on translation: any translation strategy or method has its own value if it can achieve expected goal of translation.Therefore,in trademark translation,the translator is fully entitled to adopt various variation translation approaches to adapt to the product’s feature,the target language,the target culture and the consumers’psychology in order to achieve its translation purpose.
