| 摘 要： | 容闳是近代中国早期现代化的开拓者 ,是第一位毕业于美国耶鲁大学的中国人。在中国半殖民地半封建社会里 ,他投身于救国强国运动中 ,积极主张学习引进西方的先进科学技术及其设备 ,倡导普及教育、出国留学 ,一开中国新风 ,在科教兴国方面可谓远见卓识 ,有着跨时代的独到见解和实践活动 ,成为中国近代科教兴国的先驱。

| Abstract: | RONG Hong was a pioneer in modernization in the early years in modern China. He was the first Chinese who graduated from Yale University. In the semi-feudal and semi-colonial society he plunged himself into the movement to save and invigorate China.He was strongly for introducing advanced western science , technology and equipment. He studied abroad and advocated the popularization of education,which started a new trend in China. With his farsightedness in invigorating China through science and education and his original views and activities, he became a pioneer in invigorating China through science and education in modern times. |
