On Teaching Ancient Chinese to Foreign Students |

| Abstract: | The paper discusses mainly the teaching purpose, teaching material and teaching methods of teaching ancient Chinese to foreign students. The quantitative analysis is made to three existing textbooks of ancient Chinese to foreign students in the paper. Based on the quantitative analysis, the principles of compiling a perfect ancient Chinese textbook suitable for foreign students are discussed. Our own viewpoints about the teaching purpose and teaching methods of teaching ancient Chinese to foreign students is explained as well. |
