| 摘 要： | 广西岑氏土司的个案告诉人们：虽然一个族群的历史细节不会随着时间的流逝而被淡忘，但这并不能决定这个族群的集体记忆。因为，集体记忆的产生跟“历史本身”并不具有同一性，它只是当时的社会状况一种反映，是对“历史”的一种剪裁和拼贴。在此基础上。再来观照华夏族群的发展，就会发现“华夏”其实是一个复杂的集体记忆系统，5000年来不同的族群采取不同的方式，不问断地在建构着这一概念，但无论各个族群的血缘和地缘关系如何，无论各个族群想起或忘却什么，他们都无一例外地认同华夏文化，共享华夏文明，这也许就是华夏族能够从黄河中下游地区迅速扩散到整个大中华区域的内在动力．
