大学英语教学的通识意蕴及其实现

摘    要:大学英语作为一门公共基础课程,其教学目标、教学内容和教学过程都蕴含着丰富的通识意蕴,但这种通识意蕴被现实中的工具主义和技术化英语教学所遮蔽。为此,需要明确大学英语教学目标的通识指向,充实、挖掘教学内容的文化价值内涵,在教学过程中引导学生积极地自主探究审断,以促使学生通识精神的形成,实现大学英语教学的通识意蕴。

Abstract:As a basic course , College English manifests the rich spirit of general education in its teaching objectives , teaching contents and teaching courses. However , the general implication is shaded by the instrumentalism and technology-based English teaching. Hence , the objective of general-education-oriented teaching should be made clear and definite in College English teaching. During the teaching process , teachers ought to enrich and explore the culturally-bound content , initiate students’ independent inquiry spirit , so as to cultivate students’ general spirit , and attain the implication of general education in College English teaching.
