| 摘 要： | 在传统英语语法中,因为V+ing+Object结构在句子中所起的语法作用不同,该结构被划分为动名词短语、分词结构或ing分词短语。文章以系统功能语法体系为指导,从意义的角度对该结构进行功能分析。文章的讨论与分析表明英语的V+ing+Object结构归为动宾结构小句,胜过划分为一般语法所划分的动名词短语、分词短语或ing分词短语。

| Abstract: | In traditional approaches to English grammar,the V+ing +Object is treated as gerundial phrase,participial construction,and -ing participial phrase.This paper takes a systemic functional approach and analyses,according to systemic functional principles,this construction from a meaning-motivated perspective.It is concluded that the construction under discussion is a non-finite clause rather than a gerundial phrase or participial construction or -ing participial phrase. |
