| 摘 要： | This paper introduces Cooperative Principle and Politeness Principle, and on the basis of this, analyzes cultural differences manifested by CP and PP between the Occidental and China: in China PP is paid more attention to and in the Occidental CP is observerd more strictly. Pragmatic competence is significant in cross-cultural communication.
