| Abstract: | Through analyzing Lao Tzu＇s thoughts of ＂being quiet and nonaction＂ and ＂little selfishness and few desires＂, this paper sets forth such viewpoints of Laoism as ＂not seeking fame and gain＂, ＂retiring after winning merit＂ and ＂eking everything for nothing ＂, so as to stress the enlightenment and practical significance of Laoism toward the public servants of state in real life. |
